Our DNA: Real estate coffeehouse think tank; industrial meets mid-century modern, and a huge rustic whiteboard scribbled with group coaching and mastermind sessions. The conference room table covered with cups of coffee, laptops and notepads; while our agents are fully engaged and will depart feeling energized, up-lifted and ready to conquer what lies ahead. We’re not your customary Real Estate brokerage. That has never been the idea. The word “Sozo” is a Greek verb; and action word. The root of the word means to restore, to keep a safe and sound mind; to take action.
In order to epitomize the niche difference in service and attitude envisioned, Sozo Realty needed to foster growth, positivity, and love of the community from the inside out. That meant choosing a perfect location in Sumner, WA; right in the heart of ever-growing Pierce County but still small town, USA.
The people here take immense pride in their town’s history, fellow residents, Main Street beauty, and their bright future. Our building sits literally 100 feet from the Sounder Train Station and just minutes from the freeway; it’s a 5-minute walk to local antique shops, eateries, boutiques, and an assuredly enjoyable afternoon.
At the corner of Maple Street and Cherry Avenue is where you’ll find our home away from home. Step into the Sozo office space, and you’re welcomed by a contemporary mix of rustic wood, sleek metals, and warmth in color, smell, and sound.
Founder, Gary Gray, had learned as a long-time Business Developer and Entrepreneur that he was most productive and strategy-driven surrounded by a core group of people within the nearest coffee shop or funky bistro; light music, the sounds of production behind the counter, and conversations of others blended in the background.
There’s something stimulating about it all. That being said, you’ll find the exterior and interior of Sozo familiar; there are tables out front for our neighbors and clients to sit, relax, and socialize. Local residents, young and old, take their morning strolls and offer a smile and a wave every time. Enter the building, and you’ll find eclectic touches that harmonize to create the Sozo vibe. Furniture pieces from the 1960s, an ultra-modern conference table and chairs, orange velvet curtains in the back, and a custom-fabricated “wall” made of Douglas Fir to separate the space and provide a beautiful spot for our hand-cut and painted logo. Every detail is intentional, and that’s how we want it be.

That’s why our team of highly-seasoned real estate professionals is dedicated to providing exceptional, personalized service for all of our clients.
